Rockets' James Harden closes in on Kobe's scoring streak

Giannis Antetokounmpo's tip-in with 39.1 seconds remaining allowed the visiting Milwaukee Bucks to fend off a furious Houston Rockets rally and squeeze out a 116-109 victory on Wednesday. Clint Capela chipped in 18 points and 13 rebounds, but the Bucks' balanced offense was too overwhelming. Ben Simmons added 15 points and 10 rebounds while Jimmy Butler scored 23 points.

NY - D'Angelo Russell scored 23 points, Ed Davis grabbed a season-high 16 rebounds, and Brooklyn climbed out of an early 19-point hole to beat Atlanta.

Jordan Clarkson led Cleveland with 21 points.

Evan Fournier scored one point on 0-of-eight shooting in the Orlando Magic's 106-93 defeat to the Utah Jazz.

Joe Ingles added 16 points and seven assists, and Rudy Gobert had 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Jusuf Nurkic had 18 points and eight rebounds but got into foul trouble and came up just short of his fifth straight game with 20 or more points.

Washington has won four of six.

Luka Doncic made four three-pointers on his way to a 30-point performance in the Dallas Mavericks' 104-94 victory against the Phoenix Suns. Led by point guard Lonzo Ball who had a game-high 11 assists, the Lakers showed some chemistry and teamwork even without key playmakers, LeBron James and Rajon Rondo. The Spurs' 30 field goals and 14 assists were both season lows.

Kyrie Irving had 12 points before sitting out the fourth quarter, and the Celtics put together their highest-scoring game this season to get their fourth straight win.

John Collins had 30 points and 14 rebounds for the Hawks, who may have run out of steam after their strong start while playing on the second straight night.

D'Angelo Russell scored 23 points as host Brooklyn staged its largest comeback of the season and defeated Atlanta for its 13th win in its last 17 games. Rookie Trae Young added 17 points, and former Net Jeremy Lin finished with 16 as Atlanta lost for the fifth time in six games.
