Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will miss Thursday night's game because of an unspecified team "incident".

A meeting is planned before the Blue Jackets practice on Friday, general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said. "An incident occurred in which Sergei failed to meet those expectations and values".

"There are certain values and expectations we have for the players, no matter who it is".

A two-time Vezina Trophy victor, Bobrovsky is 18-13-1 with a 2.87 goals-against average, two shutouts and a.906 save percentage through 32 games this season.

Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 19 shots before being replaced by Korpisalo midway through the third period in a 4-0 loss to Tampa Bay on Tuesday. A source told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun that Thursday's decision, however, was not related his relationship with the head coach.

With Bobrovsky unavailable for tonight's game, the Blue Jackets called up goalie Jean-Francois Berube from the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL. "They know my plans for the season". "After the last season, I told the situation to the management of the Blue Jackets so they know everything". Joonas Korpisalo will get the start in net against the Central Division leading Nashville Predators.

The Blue Jackets, who have exited the postseason in the first-round in each of the past two years, now sit third in the Metropolitan Division on 51 points.
