Munster have been hit with a major boost as Chris Farrell has been named in the starting XV for the provinces' key Heineken Champions Cup clash with Gloucester.

Chris Farrell keeps his place after receiving positive news on a knee scan this week.

Mike Haley, Conor Murray, Dave Kilcoyne, Stephen Archer and CJ Stander are all included for the Pool 2 clash.

Dave Kilcoyne and Stephen Archer return to the front row where they will join Niall Scannell while Jean Kleyn form the second row partnership.

Mike Haley comes in at full back, in a move that sees Andrew Conway switching to the wing.

Peter O'Mahony captains the side with Tommy O'Donnell and Stander joining him in the backrow.

Gloucester welcome back a number of players from injury as Danny Ciprani and Ollie Thorley return among the backs.
