Argentine head coach Santiago Solari led the practice, which featured Real Madrid Castilla player Cristo Ramon Gonzalez Perez, who replaced French forward Karim Benzema in the last minutes of Wednesday's 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Leganes. He has been given a chance in the team following a run of injuries to key players although is a doubt for Sunday's trip to Real Betis with flu. A kid of 18 has arrived and doing is very well.

"I would not call it unfortunate", he said.

Solari is already without Marcos Llorente, Toni Kroos, Thibaut Courtois, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Mariano Diaz and if he could recover Vinicius, it would surely alter their gameplan along with Real Betis'. "Tomorrow at Betis we will try to cut the points to those at the top of La Liga". The explanations are always multiple. "We will look at how we can improve that, and look to get them all back as soon as possible, as we need everyone available".

Isco has been linked with a move to Juventus, which Solari also spoke about.

Solari generally found himself having to perform a similar role during his time as a Blancos player as he played second fiddle to some of his more illustrious team-mates. "The least enjoyable part of the job is picking the team".

"There are players here with lots of experience and trophies".

"A footballer who comes into the first team and has been around so long has all the experience necessary to know what they have to do".
