"New party, who dis?"

Democrats and Republicans alike have accused Ocasio-Cortez of hypocrisy. "She's gotten a lot of attention because she's different".

Then along came Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - and her social-media megaphone.

Asked if some of her policy proposals are unrealistic, Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, told Cooper, "What's unrealistic is what we're living in right now", she said.

So no, I don't think Lieberman exactly has his finger on the pulse of the Democratic Party but it's cute that Fox is letting him play.

Lawmakers have been quietly criticizing the NY newcomer and are hoping to rein in her criticism of those in her own party, Politico reported, citing almost 20 lawmakers and aides.

Similarly, Ocasio-Cortez, is pushing for a "Medicare for All" medical insurance overhaul in the US, an ambitious plan that would put much of the industry in the hands of government.

Veteran Democratic members suspected Ocasio-Cortez was behind a siable online campaign to convince Speaker Nancy Pelosi to give her the plum appointment.

Incumbent Democrats are most annoyed by Ocasio-Cortez's threat to back primary opponents against members of their ranks she deems too moderate. Rank and file are peeved that there's a grassroots movement to try to win her a top committee post they feel she doesn't deserve.

"The more typical Democrat elected to the House for the first time this year didn't share her point of view", he said.

"I'm focused on my job", Ocasio-Cortez said.

Some House Democrats aren't convinced.

AOC knows that - hell, she represents that - and judging by Joe's inane comments to somebody as far right wing as Cavuto... we think Joe may have an idea that his time has always been up, too. They've noticed that Ocasio-Cortez has hired two former organizers from the anti-establishment group Justice Democrats to run her office.
