Trump's Friday physical will likely be overseen by Dr Sean Conley, who succeeded Jackson as the President's personal physician.

President Donald Trump has arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his annual medical checkup.

The Marine One helicopter returned him to the White House from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in the Washington suburb of Bethesda after a full 4 hours of prodding, poking, and testing.

Almost a dozen White House officials and sources close to Trump said he is reluctant to change his eating habits and has not set foot in the White House fitness room, calling exercise a "waste of the energy".

Trump was declared to be in "excellent health" in January 2018 after a battery of tests on his heart, lungs, gastrointestinal system and other areas. He is not expected to hold a public briefing on Trump's health, the report said.

Dressed in a long dark overcoat and his signature red tie, Trump gave a thumb's up, but did not respond to reporters' questions about how he was feeling.

Trump has admitted he has not hewn closely to his diet plan.

"The President received a diet and exercise plan a year ago after his annual physical, but he admits he has not followed it religiously", Principal Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley told CNN.

The White House was then accused of allegedly skewing Trump's physical exam results by CNN medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta.

According to Jackson previous year, Trump's secret is genes. His resting heart rate was 68 beats per minute (bpm), his blood pressure was 122/74, and his total cholesterol was 223 (HDL 67, LDL 143).

Last year, everything from the president's cholesterol levels (high) to weight (too high at 239 pounds, or 108 kilograms) was released. Trump daily takes a 10 mg dose of Crestor to lower cholesterol, 81 mg of aspirin for cardiac health, and 1 mg of Propecia for prevention of male pattern hair loss.
