Bala had expressed that he doesn't wish to speak further on this issue considering Dhruv's future.

Varmaa is the Tamil remake of hit Telugu film Arjun Reddy. In his career, Bala hasn't remade other language films, but as his good friend Vikram had approached him to launch his son Dhruv, the director gladly agreed.

As per the agreement, though B studios were given liberty to make changes to Arjun Reddy screenplay, the final output of Varmaa was not liked by the producer, and as Bala was not ready to make changes, E4 entertainment can make the required changes to an existing version. He also roped in his best buddy director Bala as the director. but unfortunately, Vikram was highly disappointed with the version Bala made.

"Henceforth, E4 Entertainment has the entire rights in perpetuity for the above said film and is free to make changes, additions with the help of technicians and crew of their choice in completing the film", states the agreement.

In a statement on Thursday, E4 Entertainment had said that it plans to re-shoot the entire film with Dhruv in the lead, but with a different cast and crew, including the director. As requested by E4 entertainment, B studios have handed over footage, stills, soundtracks, IT tracks, unmixed and mixed songs and tracks. Earlier, the makers were planning to release the film during the Valentine's Day of this year but later, the team members of the film came up with an announcement that the film has been postponed to another date. Instead, we will start a fresh version of Arjun Reddy with Dhruv as the main lead by staying true to the soul and intention of the original.

But based on Bala's statement and the agreement he had signed with Mukesh, it looks like the producer of Varmaa is going to only enhance the already delivered version of Bala. The director also voluntarily waived all the payment E4 Entertainment was supposed to give to his production house B Studios.
