Daily Show host Trevor Noah sounded off on Liam Neeson's stunning confession about the time he considered a racist murder in a "Between the Scenes" clip posted online Friday. "His tongue was so far down Viola Davis" throat.

However, it seems Neeson's co-star has retracted her words as she took to Instagram to apologise for her comment. You can't call him a racist ever.

"I want to deeply apologize for my recent choice of words, and poor use of example", she wrote.

'In a pressure-filled situation, I defended a friend in the wrong way.

Michelle isn't the only person to defend Liam, as Whoopi Goldberg also recently insisted she doesn't think the 66-year-old actor is a "bigot". Racists do not make out with the race they hate, especially in the way that he does with his tongue.

The actress added: 'I don't care how good of an actor you are.

"I now realise how insensitive it was, and I had no intention of invoking such a awful historical comparison. I have learned from this, and will grow from it".

"It's a dark comedy, but its basis is revenge". I asked, did she know who it was? No.

"I remembered an incident almost 40 years ago where a dear friend of mine was brutally raped". I was out of the country.

In talking to his audience about it, Noah said the context of how and where Neeson made his startling confession matters, and if he said it in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, "we would have seen it as a person admitting to a time in their life when they allowed their anger and hatred to fester into a racism that they're ashamed of".

'I had never felt this feeling before which was a primal urge to lash out'. "It shocked me. It hurt me".
