Top 25 roundup: Jordan Bohannon leads No. 20 Iowa at Indiana

The Indiana Hoosiers got a boost from Juwan Morgan but still came up short against No. 20 Iowa in a 77-72 loss.

Cook rebounded from a seven-point effort during last week's signature victory over previously once-beaten MI.

The result: Iowa won its second straight, ended a three-game losing streak in the series and won at Assembly Hall for the first time since 2015. Allen torched the Hawkeyes in the last matchup between the two teams, racking up 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Iowa stormed out to a 9-2 lead in the first two minutes before in fought back to take a 15-11 lead. The Hoosiers allowed just two baskets over the next 7 1/2 minutes and eventually closed to 64-61 with 3:47 left.

Langford finished with 22 points and five rebounds while Morgan had 17 points to lead the Hoosiers. But Langford missed a 3-point attempt that would have tied game, and Cook answered with a turnaround jumper at the shot-clock buzzer to put the Hawkeyes up 66-61 with 2:23 remaining.

Devonte Green hit one of the more important shots of Thursday night's game for IN, drilling a 3-pointer from the left wing with 7:21 left IN the first half that cut Iowa's lead to two possessions.

Iowa: The Hawkeyes showed just how good they are - by winning on the road without their best game. But they couldn't overcome a first half in which they committed eight turnovers and gave up their second-highest first-half point total all season. To turn this season around, they need to play a consistent 40 minutes. Weiskamp added 13 points and was 4 of 6 on 3s.

Indiana: Has lost eight of its last nine. Luka Garza led the Hawkeyes with 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting along with 8 rebounds and a pair of blocks while Joe Wieskamp added 16 points with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Can you get a quiet 22?

Indiana: "The mindset was there", Morgan said. "I think really the execution wasn't".

Iowa: Heads home Sunday to face Northwestern.

IN was also coming off a signature victory at Michigan State on Saturday, but that triumph merely ended a seven-game losing streak, the longest in eight seasons for the Hoosiers.
