Sensational K-pop girl band BLACKPINK has debuted on U.S. television, performing live on CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", the band's management agency said Tuesday.

During the interview, Jennie expressed the group's excitement over being at Times Square for the first time.

The four-piece girl band staged live their latest, wildly successful song, "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" on the late night CBS show on Monday (US time) at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NY.

The band staged the whole length of the hit song, but did not directly address the TV audience.

BLACKPINK will also be appearing on ABC's Good Morning America spin-off, the afternoon television chat show, Strahan and Sara, on Friday.

The North American dates on the In Your Area World Tour kick off on April 17 in Los Angeles.

The Good Morning America appearance precedes the band's performance at Coachella, one of the biggest music festivals in the United States in April.

So far concerts in Amsterdam on May 18, London on May 22, Berlin on May 24, Paris on May 26 and Barcelona on May 28 have been confirmed, but the schedule for North America and Australia has still to be decided.
