We'll get to see what it's all about this Thursday, 14th February, on Blomkamp's Oats Studios youtube channel.

Electronic Arts and Academy Award-nominated director Neill Blomkamp have announced Conviction, an original live-action short film based on BioWare's upcoming action RPG Anthem. It all looks dusty and dinged, similar to the lived-in style Blomkamp has established in movies like District 9, Elysium, and Chappie.

Been working on something new. In a tweet, Blomkamp said he's "really excited to share" his latest project, and paired it with an #anthemgame hashtag.

Not much else is revealed as of yet, but we do know that Neill Blomkamp's movies in the past have usually been set to the sci-fi genre. "A world where danger is lurking on every ledge and in each valley". As freelancers, players don Javelin exosuits, making them powerful heroes with strong weapons and incredible special abilities to help them survive in an ever-changing, unfinished world. As players work together to find vast ruins, defeat deadly enemies and claim otherworldly artifacts, they'll be unlocking their own individual story fighting against The Dominion, a ferocious militaristic society.

As for the game itself, Anthem makes its grand debut on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 22nd!

The teaser for Conviction: An Anthem Story is only 18 seconds long and the opening shot shows off a dramatic mountainside with Javelin's flying through before cutting to a shot of a Javelin standing in the rain.
