Katy Perry attends the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on February 10, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

TMZ reported that two styles, the Ora Face block-heel sandal and the Rue Face slip-on loafer, are being pulled from shelves at Walmart and Dillard's.

Perry posted a photo of the shoes to her Instagram back in August 2018 and received backlash in the comments at that time.

Katy Perry's fashion line is facing criticism after one of the shoe styles seems to portray racist imagery.

Today, Katy Perry is under fire for releasing a pair of mules and a high-heeled sandal that feature bright red lips and eyes on a black background.

The black version specifically resembles historical blackface makeup. "So we just gonna let Katy Perry slide?" the singer asked, according to TMZ.

While the styles are part of a larger collection and were never meant to be offensive, they are now being pulled "in order to be respectful and sensitive", a source told TMZ.

"In order to be respectful and sensitive the team is in the process of pulling the shoes", the insider shared.
