'The Hustle' Trailer: Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway As Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Rebel Wilson and Anne Hathaway will give "dirty rotten men" a run for their money this spring - that's the tagline in this new trailer for MGM's The Hustle, a female-centric remake of 1988's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

The comedic duo fronts the film as a pair of disparate crooks - Hathaway's British schemer lives the high life with stolen jewels while Wilson's low-rung petty thief swindles cakes and club sandwiches - who team up to take down the men who've wronged them. Hathaway's character is a refined pro, whereas Wilson's character is a scrappy street con artist.

"You must be trained for any situation", Hathaway tells Wilson before teaching her how to throw knives, cry on command, and "be as inconspicuous as possible" while zeroing in on a tech millionaire; Wilson takes that to mean posing as a blind woman who feels Hathaway up during a key mission involving their target. I'm not sure this one will live up to that, but it looks absurd enough. It was shot back in 2017 and was originally supposed to be released past year, and MGM has finally settled on a prime May release date for the pic.

Check out the The Hustle trailer below. Also starring Tim Blake Nelson, Alex Sharp, Ingrid Oliver, Emma Davies, and Douggie McMeekin. The film opens in theaters on May 10th.
