In shocking news out of the US, Californian rapper Willie Bo, real name Willie McCoy, has been shot to death by six police officers who allegedly opened fire on the MC after he was found sleeping in his vehicle. "They can't just keep killing us in the street like this". Upon arrival, the man, who has since been identified as 21-year-old rapper Willie Bo, was found unresponsive with a gun in his lap.

On Saturday night, Willie McCoy, aka Willie Bo, who performed with the group FBG was killed by California police while sitting in a silver Mercedes in the drive-through of the restaurant, The Daily Mail reports. Police said officers told the man several times to put his hands up, but he did not comply and "instead he quickly moved his hands downward for the firearm".

"Fearing for their safety, six officers fired their duty weapons at the driver", the news release stated. Officers removed the driver from the vehicle, began rendering medical assistance and attempted lifesaving efforts on the driver.

An internal police investigation is now underway, with McCoy's family calling for the officers involved to face criminal charges.

The gun recovered was fully loaded and reported stolen from OR, police said. They then reached in through the glass to unlock the vehicle door and conducted "lifesaving efforts" on McCoy, but he died on the scene.

"It's a really big loss".

The outlets notes that it has been reported that all six officers who were investigating the crime fired shots, but there is now no word on how many shots hit McCoy.

Authorities have not confirmed his identity and said the autopsy and toxicology reports are pending.

"You're not judge, jury and executioner".

"The police's job is to arrest people who are breaking the law - not take the law into your own hands. We want to make sure this never happens again to another person".

"Racist police maybe?" wrote one user on one of his Instagram posts.

The family of a homeless man fatally shot by Oakland police in 2018 filed a lawsuit against the department last week, alleging excessive force. He represents hip-hop music.

The death of Mr McCoy at the hands of the police follows at least three fatal police shootings in the Bay Area in recent years, according to the publication. They said the incident is under investigation.

Willie's brother Marc McCoy blasted the police's response.
