The global traveler also took a bus from Boston to Manchester, N.H.in late February, WCAX reports.

A measles case is now being reported in New Hampshire, one of 12 states where the recent outbreak has been reported. Outbreaks have been particularly severe in Washington and NY states. The outbreak includes patients in Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Georgia who became infected in Washington.

The update includes cases reported by state health departments to the CDC through March 7, and does not include cases reported after that date, CNN reported.

Measles is a contagious but vaccine-preventable viral infection that is spread through coughing, sneezing and other close contact.

In 2018, 82 cases of measles were imported into the U.S. from other countries, which is the highest number of imported cases since the illness was eliminated, according to the CDC. There were 372 cases reported in 2018 and 667 cases in 2014, with both years featuring large outbreaks among unvaccinated communities and cases of the disease imported from other countries.
