Militao has signed a six-year deal at the Bernabeu, with Madrid confirming he has committed his future to the club until 2025.

"Real Madrid C.F. and FC Porto have reached an agreement on the transfer of Eder Militao", read the club statement "He will stay at the club for the next six seasons until 30 June 2025".

But Real Madrid have won the race for the Brazilian and are happy with the deal.

"He has been named the best defender in the league for the last five months in a row".

A man who made his senior worldwide debut for Brazil in September 2018 will join a defensive unit in Spain which has been far from watertight this season.

That will mean a significant profit for Porto on a player they signed previous year from Sao Paulo in his homeland. It stands out for its speed, placement and ability to anticipate.

"He comes from Porto, where in his first season he has become one of the main protagonists of the Portuguese League".

"His superb performances have led to him making his full Brazil worldwide debut in a clash with El Salvador in September 2018".

Militao only arrived in European football during the summer of 2018.

"He cut his teeth in the Sao Paulo academy, which he joined at 13, before going on to win the U-20 Copa de Brasil in 2016".

The 21-year-old has caught the attention of Europe's biggest clubs with his performances for Porto in what is his first season in Europe.
