After spending his entire 10-year career with the Miami Dolphins, defensive end Cameron Wake is set to join the Tennessee Titans, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Instead of re-signing Wake for an 11th season in Miami, the Dolphins are moving forward in their plans to rebuild their roster with younger, cheaper talent in hopes of developing into a competitor for years to come.

Through his time in Miami, Wake played in 146 games and amassed 98 sacks, 360 tackles and 22 forced fumbles.

Wake, who had five sacks in the second half of last season, decided late in the 2018 season that he felt good enough to return for an 11th National Football League campaign.

At 6-3 263lbs, he is too small to play as a defensive end in the Titans' 3-4 scheme. Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey and linebacker Jayon Brown had the most sacks on the team with seven and six respectively.

This was not the only move Tennessee has made so far in the legal tampering period. Wake is projected to make a significant impact for the Titans as a situational pass rusher. The deal includes a reported $10 million guaranteed.
