Seattle coach Pete Carroll said he wanted the Seahawks to keep both their starting guards this offseason with D.J.

Seattle lost Sweezy to the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, the first day that free agents could sign with other teams.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo first reported the one-year deal between the Seahawks and Iupati. Well now, he's gone again, having signed a two-year contract with the division rival Cardinals. The financial terms of the deal have yet to be announced.

Coincidentally, the 2015 season saw Iupati stretchered off CenturyLink Field in Seattle with a neck injury before returning the following week against the 49ers on the Cardinals' run to the NFC Championship Game. His aggressiveness, his toughness his desire to keep getting better and pushing it and fighting through the hard things and the difficulties. "He was a big part of it".

In the attached video, Huard and co-host Mike Salk tackle that topic and two more from another busy day in National Football League free agency.

Wright, 30, was only healthy enough to play in five regular-season games last season (though he did make eight tackles in Seattle's playoff loss at Dallas), and Seattle clearly believes he'll be healthy and productive in 2019.

Iupati is a four-time Pro Bowler and earned first-team All-Pro recognition in 2012 with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Seahawks' offensive line made major strides on the ground last season, helping Seattle's three-headed rushing attack of running backs Chris Carson, Mike Davis and Rashaad Penny amass over 2,000 total rushing yards at a 4.7-yards-per-carry clip.
