It has been reported that Markle is expected to continue with private meetings, though her public calendar does not have any new additions now.

The comments come as Meghan and Harry prepare to move to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle ahead of the arrival of their first child.

Meghan and Prince Harry recently made an appearance at London's Canada House and the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday (Tuesday NZ time).

In a statement released on Thursday afternoon, Buckingham Palace revealed: "The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new Household for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May previous year".

The news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new office, set to be based at Buckingham Palace, was announced on Thursday by the palace.

People reports the separation of the households-to be established in the northern hemisphere spring-has been approved by both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.

The Duchess may also be hard at work on her family's move to their new home, Frogmore Cottage. The Queen has already given permission for the new office to be based at Buckingham Palace.

What ceased to be known until now, however, was that the move also involved shifting all Prince Harry and the former "Suits" actress offices out of Kensington Palace, further dividing up the royal brothers.

However, sources with knowledge insist that this latest move has nothing to do with the reported rift and was always part of the long-term plan.

The Duke of Sussex now has his own private office, which has been supporting The Duchess since the engagement of Their Royal Highnesses in November 2017.

He added: "The things we have seen about Meghan Markle where she took that private jet to fly to a baby shower in NY at great expense while she is preaching about climate change and so on".

They met at a Buckingham Palace reception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Prince of Wales's investiture.

"Well, we'll see less of the Fab Four together", she stated. "But I think we are increasingly going to see the Sussexes do their thing and the Cambridges doing their thing".

"The instruction I am told from the top, which is with Prince William is that there is to be no treading on toes".
