Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will also bring back the game's multiplayer mode, now updated to support 16 players.

The first of those projects will be a remaster of Sniper Elite V2, which will see players return to the Berlin campaign in the closing moments of the Second World War.

For those who want to snag a picture of their kills (pretty morbid, but okay), the photo mode allows you to pause and scrub through the kill frame-by-frame to get exactly the right moment, line up the shot with ideal positioning, apply a filter, adjust the lighting, and snap for a nice battlefield memento. Fortunately for Nintendo fans, that will be changing soon as Rebellion announced during a special livestream today that Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2019. Rebellion has added a modernized renderer, as well as new post processing effects, better level geometry, more detailed textures and particles, and a new lighting system, so the brutal kill shots should look better than ever.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be released both digitally and at retail later this year.

There's more good news for Switch owners, because Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition is also headed to Nintendo's console this year.

All DLC content is included, and Rebellion is adding in new playable characters, as well as a photo mode.

As Rebellion stated in its press release, the next major title in the Sniper Elite series, following in the footsteps of the widely acclaimed Sniper Elite 4, is being worked on now. You can check out a trailer for the game, here.

The remaster is due out sometime this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. It will feature all content ever released for the title, ported over to the Nintendo console. Make sure to subscribe now and never miss an episode!
