Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is involved in a police investigation.

An unidentified source familiar with the situation told The Kansas City Star that the alleged battery involved Hill and Espinal's 3-year-old son and resulted in a broken arm.

Hill has not been charged with a crime in connection with the latest report.

The Chiefs said in a statement to the Associated Press that it was aware of a police report filed Thursday by Overland Park police that lists Hill's address and identifies a juvenile as the victim. "We'll have no further comment at this time". Espinal has reportedly been in contact with the Overland Park police about the alleged incident.

While at Oklahoma State, Hill was convicted of domestic assault for an incident in which he was accused of punching and choking his girlfriend.

Following the incident with Espinal, Hill went to therapy and went to counseling for anger management.

This is the second time within the past year that such an incident involving a Chiefs player has come to light.

By pleading guilty, Hill avoided jail time and was given probation with a three-year deferred sentence.

Last season, the Chiefs released star running back Kareem Hunt after video surfaced of him pushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel.

The conviction was dismissed in August 2018 and ordered to be expunged after he completed his probation requirements. That would surpass the contract for Odell Beckham Jr., who became the highest-paid wide receiver in National Football League history when he signed a five-year, $90 million extension with the New York Giants in August 2018.

Hill transferred to West Alabama and was chosen by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 draft, a selection widely criticized given his history.
