But, with St. Patrick's Day approaching, the product planners at Ford couldn't help but show off the new mega-Mustang in a bright shade of Grabber Lime.

Ford's new retro-inspired Grabber Lime is so bright that it should come with a pair of sunglasses.

Ford also chose to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a video of Vaughn Gittin Jr. drifting his green 900-hp Mustang around a highway cloverleaf interchange.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to drive your holiday-appropriate Grabber Lime Mustang to any of this year's St. Patrick's Day celebrations. The others, Twister Orange (which we saw on the $1.1 million GT500 at Barrett-Jackson), Iconic Silver, and Red Hot Metallic also join the range for 2020. Ford cheekily calls it "more potent than krypton-ite".

It's one of two new feature colors available across the Mustang lineup for 2020 - the other is Twister Orange, in addition to Iconic Silver and Red Hot Metallic. "This color traces back to a Mustang heritage color while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy", she explains. We dig the color on the GT500, especially with the black racing stripes and black accents all around the vehicle.

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will have over 700 horsepower and be one of the quickest cars in the world when it goes on sale this fall.

Ford is slowly releasing details on its preeminent pony vehicle ahead of its Fall 2019 on-sale date.
