Neil deGrasse Tyson will be back on the National Geographic Channel now that the network has completed an investigation into accusations that the celebrity astrophysicist engaged in sexual misconduct. Initially, Fox and National Geographic were planning on creating a third season of "Cosmos: Possible Worlds" which would have aired in 2019. Deadline reports Cosmos and StarTalk are returning to National Geographic following allegations of sexual misconduct against the astrophysicist. With regard to the allegations against Tyson, the channel did not give any details about the investigation.

The networks confirmed to Fox News on Friday that, "The investigation is complete, and we are moving forward with both "StarTalk" and 'Cosmos'". "There will be no further comment", the statement concluded.

Fox had originally scheduled the new season of Cosmos to premiere on Sunday, March 3, while Nat Geo had slated a second window to begin on Monday, March 4.

Tyson said in December that he denied the allegations and welcomed the investigation.

It was website Patheos that published a report in which two women accused Tyson of inappropriate behavior, including Dr. Katelyn N. Allers of Bucknell University and Ashley Watson, Tyson's former assistant.
