‘We Can Do No More For Joshua, Wilder Fight’

The report claims they offered Wilder a three-fight deal worth a reported $100 million.

Hearn has held meetings this week about arranging the fight and, while he would not be drawn on the outcome of the talks, he feels no more could have been done to agree a deal. I'm not going to say too much on it, because I don't want to jinx anything. I'll have a lot to say on Tuesday.

Fury may have the undefeated professional record to his name, but that does not take away from the 41 wins in 44 fights in Lewis' career, which 32 of them came from KO.

But Truax is content with the contest, saying: "I think that Big Baby Miller is a good challenger".

From a fan perspective, it is always sad that events like these can never play out, but we can only imagine the absolute spectacle such a fight would give us.

"If an undisputed fight gets made, it will be November or December 2019".

"It's been frustrating and I think people are beginning to see the truth". Any fight with Joshua would not take place until the autumn at the earliest, with the WBO, IBF and WBA champion fighting Jarrell MIller on June 1.

"This is heavyweight boxing".

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua will make his American debut on June 1st as he defends his WBA (super), WBO and IBF heavyweight belts versus Jarrell Miller in NY.

"So if you start thinking about Wilder in November or December, you could end up looking very, very silly".

While a unification fight between Joshua and Wilder would undoubtedly be one of the biggest the sport has seen in recent times, a deal has been hard to make.

Wilder was slated to rematch Tyson Fury following their epic bout a year ago but a second fight collapsed after the "Gypsy King" penned a huge television contract with ESPN.
