Redmond put Southampton ahead in the second minute and then restored the hosts' lead in the 30th, just two minutes after Willy Boly had equalized for Wolves.

"But we have a special relationship I think". He and his defensive colleagues were pulled out of position time and time again by Sims, Ings and Redmond.

The Saints' 3-1 victory over Wolves - a third win in four matches - combined with Cardiff City's defeat elsewhere on Saturday moved Hasenhuttl's men eight points clear of the drop zone with just five matches to play.

Hasenhuttl was quick however to warn his squad that there will be no easing off until safety is ensured.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl says he is refusing to celebrate Premier League survival until his side have reached 40 points.

"I gave them a wake-up call at half-time even though we were leading 2-1, because we were not courageous enough and we had a long way to go".

"It's the most lovely moment of the weekend if you can win and celebrate with the fans".

"We want to finish as high as we can in the league and the next game is always more important and that is Southampton - tough challenge".

"To give them back what they give us during 90 minutes". "We scored three times and could have scored more".

Wolves are winless in their last five Premier League away games (D2 L3), and have lost back-to-back league games on the road for the first time this season.

They return to league action at Southampton today and Nuno (right) said: "You have to organise your thoughts, and what we feel now is pride".

Something which Nuno hopes will help Wolves in their remaining matches is another warm-weather training camp in Marbella.

Asked whether Wolves' 3-2 extra-time semi-final loss to Watford had hit his side hard on the south coast, Nuno had earlier said: "I understand that question, but no, we have to look at different things".

"Today Southampton were better than us in nearly every situation".
