Critically acclaimed television masterpiece Big Little Lies is coming back for a second season, starring your faves Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern. Streep is joining the cast as Perry's father, Mary Louise Wright.

"I want to know what happened that night", she says to Madeline. The clip then cuts to a shot of a police station.

"We're kidding ourselves if we think people will stop talking", Nicole Kidman's Celeste Wright tells Madeline Mackenzie (Reese Witherspoon), Jane Chapman (Shailene Woodley) and Renata Klein (Laura Dern) as the women sit in a auto.

The premium cable network unveiled the teaser ahead of the season 8 premiere of Game of Thrones.

The ending of Big Little Lies seemed fairly definitive, no?

Streep will play Kidman's mother-in-law in the hit series.

The second season of this subversive, darkly comedic drama will explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and the vicious ferocity of sound parenting.

Adam Scott (Ed), James Tupper (Nathan) and Jeffrey Nordling (Gordon) will return for the seven-episode season, which will premiere Sunday, June 9 on HBO at 9 p.m. ET.
