Pascal will be joined by Nick Nolte (48 Hrs.), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (The Mentalist) and Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6).

Watch our report above for the scoop on the show's timing, tone, characters (like Werner Herzog's!), cameos, vehicles, and more.

The series premieres on the Disney+ streaming service when it launches November 12.

Hyping up a crowd already buzzing from Friday's release of a trailer for the ninth installment in the flagship film franchise, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", were the show's writer and executive producer, Jon Favreau, and several members of the cast. He travels the outer reaches of the galaxy alone, far away from the laws of the New Republic. Pascal didn't name his Mandalorian, and played very coy about the subject, but I still believe him to be Cobb Vanth, the self-made lawman introduced in Chuck Wendig's Aftermath books. A live-action Star Wars series will be one of the many ways Disney is drawing customers into their streaming app. One of the features of this booth allowed attendees to check out some of the toys, clothing and merchandise they will be able to purchase at the Star Wars-themed attraction once it opens at Disneyland on May 31 and at Disney World August 29.

Favreau: Mandalorians were my favorite characters. Weathers will be stepping into the role of Greef, who sounds like he'll be a head honcho of sorts for the galaxy's most risky bounty hunters. "It's no cartoon", quipped Pascal, getting some negative responses from the audience who love the animated Star Wars shows. She said filming sometimes ran for 17 hours a day, but knew it was worth it because it was Star Wars.

The Mandalorian takes place in the time between the end of the original trilogy and The Force Awakens.

But Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy has suggested that future Star Wars films and shows will move past the Skywalker saga and explore other corners of the universe. Greef tells him his options: "I have a bail jumper, a bail jumper, another bail jumper", he says, dropping "pucks" onto the table. I was born in '75 so I am a product of Star Wars imagination.

Diego Luna, who played Cassian Andor in Rogue One, has signed on to star in his own untitled series on Disney Plus about the character, set during the early years of the Rebellion.
