AOC: Reduced Aid to Israel 'On the Table' After Netanyahu's Re-election

During her interview with Skullduggery, a podcast for Yahoo News, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said the reelection of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shows how he is a Trump-like, authoritarian figure and reducing financial aid is "on the table".

"We need to expand what those policy conversations are", said Ocasio-Cortez, "because as just a citizen of this country, I would be very concerned if Trump started really pursuing more and more and more increasingly unsafe policies and everyone just standing aside and say this is normal, this is just like before".

Interviewed Sunday on the Yahoo News "Skullduggery" podcast, the freshman Democrat from NY added: "I think that Netanyahu is a Trump-like figure".

McCollum, a Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota, has a history of anti-Israel actions, including introducing a bill in November 2017 that would have mandated the US government to certify that its military funding to Israel not be used for "Israeli military's ongoing detention and mistreatment of Palestinian children". There's different ways to signal it.

The congresswoman said that reducing aid is "certainly on the table, and I think it's something that can be discussed, and I think that-and I also acknowledge my role in in this as well in that I hope to play a facilitating role in this conversation and a supportive role in this conversation..."
