Actress Georgia Engel, who starred as Georgette Franklin Baxter in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show", died Friday, according to The New York Times.

Paying tribute to her old pal and former The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Betty White Show castmate on Monday, White said, "Georgia was one of a kind and the absolute best".

Her most recent stage role of note was appearing opposite Lillias White, Donna McKechnie, and Andre de Shields in the musical Half Time at Paper Mill Playhouse.

Engel received consecutive Emmy nominations as outstanding guest actress in a comedy series in 2003, 2004, and 2005 for her role on Everybody Loves Raymond as Robert Barone's mother-in-law, Pat MacDougall.

We send our thoughts and condolences to Georgia's loved ones during this hard time.
