Meanwhile, OnePlus is also purportedly looking to debut a second, pricier 5G-touting handset called OnePlus 7 Pro. OnePlus is expected to launch at least two models of the OnePlus flagship - OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Teenage leaker Ishan Agarwal, who has been posting scoops on Twitter about various phones in recent months, including the Pixel 3 and OnePlus's most recent phones, says the OnePlus 7 will launch on May 14th.

Speaking of which, the OnePlus 7 Pro is said to sport a 6.67-inch Super Optic AMOLED display, as per the leaked image, and the variant that surfaced comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, though we're sure a number of different variants will be available. The poster was leaked on Weibo but there is no official confirmation from the OnePlus yet. OnePlus 7 will also have a pop-up selfie camera powered by a motor and placed at an off-center position.

A fairly reputable source just came out with an exact date of when the OnePlus 7 will come out. That variant of the phone will probably be considerably more expensive than the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

As far as the rear cameras are concerned, OnePlus 7 is expected to get a triple camera setup with a 48-MP primary shooter having a Sony IMX586 sensor. It is also expected to superfast VOOC charging capability that can power up from zero to 100-percent within 80 minutes if not less. This is also the first time we'd be seeing the "Pro" moniker on a OnePlus smartphone.

Reported by Italian news outlet Repubblica, OnePlus Chief Executive, Peter Lau, asserts smartphones are no longer enough, with TV, automotive and computers among future growth categories.
