Earlier, Soni had responded to Kangana and Rangoli saying that it was her husband Mahesh Bhatt who gave the actor a break in Bollywood; she later deleted the tweet. What is left to be said then about abusing and hatred I wonder? The controversy around this is two-fold; firstly, Alia is a British citizen and therefore can not vote in the Indian Elections, secondly, pro-BJP elements see this campaign as anti-Modi and are calling out Alia for supporting it. Rangoli replied sarcastically, "Of course Kangana is jealous of Alia's super model looks and fashion sense, remarkable multiple national awards winning acting skills along with superhuman action style, Her exceptional IQ and speeches along with refreshing writings, directorial skills.(contd)".

The big social media fight between the Ranaut sisters and Bhatt family is briskly taking a sour turn as Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel and Alia Bhatt's mother Soni Razdan engage in a Twitter war. After this tweet, Alia's mother Soni Razdan had tweeted that Mahesh Bhatt had given Kangana a break and now she's ungrateful, attacking his wife and daughter, questioning her agenda. Pay taxes. Hold an Overseas Citizen of India card. While Soni is defending attacks on her daughter, Rangoli has come out in support of the Manikarnika actress. "Maybe she will appreciate me again if I work hard enough". Kangana Ranaut and Randeep Hooda are co-stars of 2014 film Ungli. I wish some day, we can definitely do a live chat!

Only last week, a poll conducted by BollywoodLife voted Kangana Ranaut as Best Actress for 2019 (so far), which also had Alia Bhatt nominated for Gully Boy, after which she told the publication: "I am embarrassed". In her tweets, Rangoli accused Randeep Hooda of being Karan Johar's favourite and tagged him as a "failure".
