Bayern Munich, 11th matchday at Signal Iduna Park.

Timo Werner could prefer a move to Liverpool FC rather than Bayern Munich in the summer, according to RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff. Bayern Munich have always been interested in the German forward and are predicted to be his next destination.

Bayern Munich defender Rafinha held an emotional farewell press conference earlier, confirming that he will leave after eight successful years with the Bundesliga club. "To be honest, this is something I have to consider when thinking about next season", the 23-year-old commented.

"We have submitted an offer and we know that Timo would rather not extend - but that can still change".

Werner has scored 16 Bundesliga goals in 30 appearances for Leipzig so far this campaign - 20 goals in 36 games in all competitions. Fail to perform in their last match away at Bayern Munich, and Adi Hutter's side is in danger of gambling away their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League and even the Europa League. "Maybe he wants to go to [Thomas] Tuchel in Paris or, I have no idea, maybe to Jürgen Klopp [at Liverpool] or Lucien Favre [at Borussia Dortmund]".

Ever since joining RB Leipzig from VfB Stuttgart, Werner have been a consistent deliver.

The attacker has also featured for the German national team.

The striker is on the Kop radar, however a move to Bavaria looked on the cards as Werner has just 12 months left on his deal at the Red Bull Arena and is yet to agree an extension.

Werner played in Saturday's goalless draw with the Bundesliga champions.
