Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward and manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have identified Paris Saint-Germain star, Adrien Rabiot, as a possible replacement for departing midfielder, Ander Herrera.

The winger is trailed by many clubs but Manchester United believe that they can sign Pepe in the summer transfer window.

United's season ended on a low when they slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Cardiff on Sunday, capping a hugely disappointing campaign for the Red Devils.

The 24-year-old midfielder has made more than 200 appearances for the French champions.

As per a report from Duncan Castles of the Daily Record, Manchester United have made contact with Lille over the potential summer signing of Nicolas Pepe. The Ivory Coast worldwide moved to Lille in 2017 and has impressed for the French club in the two seasons that he has played there, while he has represented Ivory Coast 11 times on the global stage.

Pepe, 23, has been in fine form for Lille this season, providing 20 goals and 11 assists in 36 league starts.

Pepe plays as a right-sided attacker and moves towards the central areas with the ball, while also laying through balls for his fellow attackers.

Manchester United are heading into what should be a busy summer at Old Trafford.

Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also said to be chasing the breakthrough star's signature, but it has now been claimed United are confident of luring the player to Old Trafford.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is mulling over the possibility of signing Adrien Rabiot. He is available on free and if Manchester United could meet his wage demands, which reports state they are willing to, it could make the United midfield stronger.
