Yes, that is Dean celebrating his hometown team Tranmere's win on aggregate, which sees Rovers advance to the League Two playoff final at Wembley on May 25.

But the relief was palpable at the final whistle as the man who recently became the first Premier League referee to dish out 100 red cards let it all out to the delight of viewers on TV and social media.

Fans were left rubbing their eyes as Sky Sports cameras panned to Mike Dean - usually seen on the pitch officiating Premier League matches.

Having honed a reputation as a "celebrity ref" during his time as a Premier League match official, Dean wasn't holding back in the celebrations as he balanced himself on top of a rail in the away end.

'Mike loves his Tranmere, ' said manager Micky Mellon of their celebrity fan. Away from football, he takes a keen interest in women's golf and has even been a caddy at the Women's British Open.

In 2015, some decided Dean - from Heswall in Wirral - must be a Tottenham Hotspur fan when he sprinted with his arms aloft after Mousa Dembele struck against Aston Villa...

He also infamously once showed a no-look yellow card to Ross Barkley, then of Everton, during the Merseyside derby in 2016.

Tranmere went into the second game with a 1-0 lead but found themselves behind on the night thanks to Joseph Mills' goal after 12 minutes.

Tranmere, who just climbed back into League Two last season, will be seeking a second consecutive promotion.
