A 29-year-old woman told police Gooding grabbed her breast while he was intoxicated around 11.15pm Sunday.

The actor plans to turn himself in and be booked on a misdemeanor charge of forcible touching, according to a report published Wednesday by TMZ.

In a video posted on, Gooding denied that he had groped anyone.

"I trust the system", the 51-year-old told TMZ in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. "I met a bunch of people, I said hello, I took pictures and ... you know, you have to have faith in what people say".

"The male allegedly groped her breasts", the source said.

The woman reportedly called 911 around 1 a.m., according to the news outlet. He also said "absolutely not" when asked if he was guilty. An attorney for the actor did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment.

The NYPD's Special Victims Division is investigating the alleged incident.

One-time Academy Award victor Cuba Gooding Jr. has been known more for his partying lifestyle than acting his recent years - as his last notable performances were in both 2016 FX anthology series' The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story and American Horror Story: Roanoke.

Gooding was nominated for an Emmy Award previous year for playing O.J. Simpson in the series The People v. O.J. Simpson and recently appeared on Broadway and London's West End as lawyer Billy Flynn in Chicago.

Gooding won the Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1997 for his portrayal of an athlete in the film "Jerry Maguire".
