The NFL sideshow that is Antonio Brown will play out on subscription television this summer.

The Oakland Raiders, coached by Jay's older brother Jon Gruden, will be the feature of HBO's Hard Knocks in the fall of 2019, leading up to the 2019 regular season.

It's the "Hard Knocks" we've all been hoping for.

The reality show, a five-episode peek behind the scenes of National Football League teams entering its 14th season, will bring former ESPN analyst Gruden back to the masses, and possibly provide a window into the decision-making process that saw him trade star pass-rusher Khalil Mack, and then deal away up-and-coming wideout Amari Cooper in his return to the sidelines.

This show will get the juices flowing, but will the Raiders be any good?

The other candidates were the 49ers, the Giants, the Lions and the Redskins.

"Everybody wants to be a Raider. Now they'll find out what it takes to become one", Raiders owner Mark Davis said.

Crews will be headed to the Bay Area and likely the homes of some players in the coming weeks; once the Raiders descend on Napa Valley, a 30-person NFL Films crew will be on site, shooting over 1,700 hours of footage.

The Raiders were an obvious choice and not just because of Brown and his off-the-field antics. Their win total in Vegas is 6.5 for the season, coming off of four wins past year.
