What was first launched as a commercial product is now getting a consumer version, almost a year after Samsung announced that such a model was in the works. The luxury version of the company's massive, modular MicroLED display will be available globally starting July 2019. The Wall Luxury, that measures up to 292 inches, was unveiled at the InfoComm 2019 in Orlando, Florida.

Samsung unveiled The Wall MicroLED TV at the CES 2018.

Samsung will sell the Wall in sizes from 73-inches in 2K definition up to 292-inches in 8K definition. The Wall TV is created to never turn off, thanks to the 100,000-hour lifetime of its self-emitting diodes, and when it is not being used, you can take advantage of Ambient Mode which will display a range of curated art from paintings and photographs, to video art and customizable pictures with digital frames. Samsung says that The Wall Luxury's diodes boast a 100,000 hour lifespan, and assuming that's accurate, it means you could leave the display on for more than 11 years straight. It is slim (30mm) and features a bezel-less infinity design, while customizable frames allow the TV to blend seamlessly with its surroundings.

Specs-wise, The Wall is fitted with Samsung's Quatum Processor Flex, a machine-learning processor that is trained to deliver optimised scene-by-scene picture, regardless of format.

On top of this, The Wall Luxury is said to offer Quantum HDR technology for a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, as well as a 120Hz video refresh rate, making it ideal for watching sports or playing video games.

The Wall Luxury certainly sounds like an awesome display, but the vast majority of us are definitely going to want to look elsewhere when it comes to outfitting our homes with televisions. You can imagine that it will be anything but cheap.
