Pakistan failed to build on their win, after 41 run loss to Australia on Wednesday.

Warner scored his first worldwide hundred after serving out his ball-tampering ban and guided Australia to a 41-run win over Pakistan on Wednesday. The matches will be played alongside the World Cup.

Warner, now the second highest scorer in the tournament with 255 runs, quickened his scoring rate at Taunton after his slowest-ever ODI fifties in previous knocks against Afghanistan and India. What was more heartening to see was his usual celebrations which he does after getting to the three-figure mark.

Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Pakistan were in the hunt till the end with captain Sarfaraz Ahmed (40) and Wahab Riaz (45) sharing a 64-run eighth wicket partnership.

Asked how he felt about receiving the award, the boy said,"Feels awesome". Reports also suggest that the 32-year-old is dissatisfied as Pakistan get pitches in ICC events that do not favor their style of play. And that's what happened.

"Today was one of those wickets when you're still looking to score while keeping it tight - we had to try to adapt to those conditions", added Warner.

Finch (82) and David Warner (107) took the opening stand to 146 before Mohammad Amir turned the match on its head with a career best 5-30 as Australia were bowled out for 307 in 49 overs. When Wahab came in, I told him to bat as long as possible. In the next game against West Indies, obviously, got one that sort of kicked off a wicket, but I was a bit lazy.

"I was always coming back to worldwide cricket if selected", Warner said. "I think they should look at Steve Smith having a bowl, I really do". The boys are on fire here. And she got me out of bed a lot in those first sort of 12 weeks, and got me back running and training as hard as I could, and prepared for the other formats of the game I was playing and I did play. "We were so pumped for him", said Cummins, whose team play Sri Lanka tomorrow.

"The thing that kept me going was my wife and my kids".

"If the rest of the attack had supported him yesterday, I'm sure we would have beaten Australia".

His return to worldwide duty, though, had not been smooth-sailing, and Warner said that his wife Candice had been his "rock" and his driving force. She's unbelievable. She's determined, disciplined, selfless.
