Spice Girls Movie in the Works with All 5 Members Involved!

Bosses at Paramount Studios have confirmed a new animated Spice Girls film is on its way, including all all five members (Victoria Beckham, too), Independant report. Only that it will be produced by Simon Fuller and written by Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith. Soria told THR that Brown, Chisholm, Halliwell, Bunton, and Beckham brought an idea to the largely female-led senior board at Paramount Animation, and the executives have been "developing" it since. The movie will give fans what they really, really want - both classic Spice Girls music as well as new songs.

The film is in early development with other 2020 releases, the Hollywood Reporter revealed Wednesday. All five of them will be cast in the movie and, "They are very involved", in the production of it.

A rep for the Spice Girls did not respond to EW's request for comment.

Regardless, this will be the first Spice Girls feature film since the 1997 musical film Spice World, a lighthearted comedy starring the group and featuring plethora of stars including Roger Moore, Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Elton John, Richard O'Brien, Bob Hoskins, Jennifer Saunders, Richard E. Grant, Elvis Costello, and Meat Loaf.
