Ujiri allegedly was denied access onto the court after the Raptors won 114-110 to capture the National Basketball Association title due to a lack of credentials.

It was the Warriors' final game at the Oracle Arena before they move to the Chase Center in San Francisco.

When the final buzzer sounded, jubilant Raptors fans flooded the streets of downtown Toronto for a night of celebration not seen in the city since Major League Baseball's Toronto Blue Jays last won a World Series title in 1993. How will injuries impact the futures of Durant and Klay Thompson in Golden State?

But as inspiring as VanVleet's performance was and the insane end to the game, the undeniable story on the night was what happened to Klay Thompson. He went for layup and was fouled hard by Raptors guard Danny Green. He fell and immediately grabbed his left knee, writhing on the court in obvious pain as Golden State's medical staff raced out to provide attention.

Golden State has good reason to believe, given the shooting guard's age and health history, that he will return to all-star level play.

Fans around the country watched in disbelief as the Warriors lost yet another star in heartbreaking fashion.

Prominent rapper and Raptors global ambassador Drake, meanwhile, said the results proved the Raptors' team spirit.

Here's his reaction to the injury.

"When Klay goes down and is out for the game, it's just sort of a, you got to be kidding me, like this has to stop", said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
