The "josh" is high and the tension is rising ahead of India vs Pakistan match in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on June 16.

Wives and children of the Pakistani players have joined them in Manchester ahead of the clash against India on Sunday.

"We want that the PSL should work as an independent body under the control of the PCB and it should work on modern processional lines to make it a successful venture the way other leagues in the world are functioning independently", Mani told the media here at Gaddafi Stadium.

Mani also confirmed that the Pakistan women's team will play matches of the ICC women championship in India this November and the team's participation will help them understand whether bilateral cricket ties between the two arch-rivals could be resumed anytime soon.

"By having matches of the PSL at home, we will be seeing the franchisers of the teams reaping the benefits by earning revenue which they could not due to matches at the UAE", said the PCB chairman. "Then our team will be flying to Australia in October/November for one day and night and one day Test of the championship", he said.

He said the next editions of the PSL would be all-Pakistan events with matches being played at different centres of the country with full house of audience watching the players in action.

"We want to see our cricket arenas having worldwide cricket activities on a regular basis, the way it used to be in the past and we are speeding up our efforts and contacts with cricket playing nations, as (now) things have improved a lot as far as the security situation is concerned", he said.
