Sunny and dry forecast this weekend

We are watching Tropical Storm Barry off the coast of Louisiana this morning (max. sustained winds 70 m.p.h.) and what impact it may bring to Kansas in the coming days.

Partly cloudy skies and a few storms will be possible for the afternoon mainly in southern Kentucky, with a high of 91 degrees.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 64.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny and warm. It will then start to get cloudy at the beginning of the afternoon, with there being a 60 percent chance of showers and possible thunderstorms for the rest of the day.

TUESDAY: Rain showers are expected to develop throughout the day, as the remnants of Tropical Storm Barry will be moving into the region. Tuesday afternoon high temperatures will be around 87 degrees.

MONDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers develop, with a low of 68 degrees.

There could be a lingering shower or storm Thursday before skies turn partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of showers and a high of 90 and a low of 73.

Temperatures will finally start to decrease at night to a near 59 degrees.

Friday will be mostly sunny and hot with a high of 94 and a low of 74 with scattered showers.

In the Harrisburg area, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 88.
