Crystal Jackson, 18-month-old Cedric Jackson Jr.'s aunt, said police told her the boy was not alive.

'We still don't know who has the child or who took the child, ' Maj.

Dallas Police have asked the public for help finding missing boy, Cedrick Jackson.

Constable Andy Pattenden, media relations for YRP revealed: "Amber alert is not issued immediately it's a process for us".

The aunt told police that she put Cedric to bed at about 11 p.m. Tuesday and woke up to discover him missing nearly seven hours later. He had last been seen wearing only a diaper. He was discovered missing when his family awoke Wednesday morning.

"He's dead. He's gone", said Jackson.

According to a police report first obtained by KAKE-TV, a child inside the condo told her aunt that she saw a man take the toddler from the home.

"He's not going to get up and walk off on his own", she said.

"We had a missing vulnerable person with two very young kids, who were missing for a long time and we were concerned very much for all of their safety so the system works and it worked again today", he said.

He said police received a 911 call at about 6 a.m. Wednesday from an aunt who had been given temporary custody of the child by CPS.

York police have said that the search for the boys and their grandfather drew in a significant amount of resources, including support from the Criminal Investigation Bureau, canine officers and the helicopter unit. That person is now in jail in Keller, Texas on unrelated warrants.

Now police are questioning Jackson's parents and aunt at Dallas police headquarters.
