Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been doing a lot of this during training camp.

Irsay did not specify what part of Luck's body the bone injury was taking place, and it is also not clear if this was the main injury all along or if this is issue is in addition to his calf injury.

The report emphasizes the difference between Luck's current calf injury and the shoulder issue that hampered him in the past. The Colts have maintained the expectation that Luck will be ready for the regular-season opener, but the 29-year-old has yet to practice in a full team capacity.

"I know everyone's had their questions about Andrew and that sort of thing, but I really feel very confident that he's going to find his way through this thing", Irsay said. "I think after the (Kevin) Durant things (that) everyone's erring on the side of caution, but quite frankly this is not even in the Achilles tendon". The owner referred to it as "a small little bone". Luck said the following day that his Achilles was not at extra risk of injury.

He has been held out of practice and the Colts first pre-season game because of a calf strain, and Luck will not play in Saturday's home game against Cleveland and the practices leading up to it. All seemed good, at least until Luck injured his calf, or his ankle, or some mysterious bone.

"It allows me to sleep at night", Ballard said of Brissett's presence last week, per Yahoo's Terez Paylor.
