'Donald Trump is risky to the future of America, and will destroy what makes us so unique and so special...'

On MSNBC's The Beat with Ari Melber, political analyst Jason Johnson praised 2020 Democratic presidential candidates for calling out President Donald Trump's stoking of racism and white supremacy, which he said "leads to higher levels of terror".

In an interview with CNN, O'Rourke reiterated that Trump is a "white supremacist", and noted that most of his supporters stand by him anyway. Elizabeth Warren, who said Trump "winks and nods at white supremacists" and that "when the white supremacists call Donald Trump one of their own, I tend to believe them". "President Trump won your home state of Texas by nine points". Nearly 63 million Americans voted for him.

Johnson and Melber began their discussion by examining the confrontational political ad that Julián Castro ran on Trump's favorite morning show, Fox and Friends, that geo-targeted Trump's New Jersey golf club where the president is vacationing.

"I think it's really hard", O'Rourke responded, before listing off all the reasons why Trump was racist.

"Donald Trump is unsafe to the future of America, and will destroy what makes us so unique and so special and the genius that we represent to ourselves and to the rest of the world", O'Rourke said. And so I appeal to my fellow Americans to choose a candidate who will bring this very divided and highly polarized country together, who will work on the issues before us, whether it is health care or an economy that includes everyone or immigration or confronting climate before it is too late and doing it in a way that speaks to the best of us. That is ambitious, that is not fearful of the future and does not try to divide us on our differences.
