Then he stealthily walks away.

Neighbors made the surprising discovery on Sunday morning and learned that the mystery prankster left the vintage TVs at more than 50 homes.

"We got an old tube-style TV, 13-inch", Brooksbank told local TV station WTVR. "He wants to be known as the TV Santa Claus".

"He's committed to his trade", Jim Brooksbank, a resident, told WTVR.

Michael Kroll, another Hampshire homeowner, first believed that his son had collected the television to take to college - until he looked at his surveillance footage.

Thanks to the fact that it is 2019 and apparently people have smart doorbells with cameras in them, the culprits were caught on video multiple times - although, if anything, the footage just makes this even more mysterious.

Working with local waste management staff, the over 50 TVs were removed from the homes with Pecka telling WTVR 6 that "Nobody should have to now go to the dump, pay the $3" as a result of the prank.

The is the second time old TV sets have been dropped off at residents homes.

"At most this seems to be more an inconvenience to the community", said one officer.

Officers and county workers spent Sunday morning collecting the TV sets and clearing off resident's front porches.

Kroll said, 'I think it's just a prank.

Homeowners and local police chalked up the mysterious "TV Santa Claus" to a bored prankster, who managed to pull off his odd delivery to more than 50 homes, according to the local CBS station WTVR-TV.

'It's summer, and people are getting ready to go back to school. Just previous year, more than two dozen TVs were left at people's front doors in several area neighborhoods. Although, it is unclear if a crime has actually been committed.
