Following up on the success of the iPhone XR, Apple unveiled the iPhone 11 this morning that sports a new aluminum and glass body and two incredible rear cameras that could make it the most attractive iPhone to most people.

We've had a look at the key takeaways from the launch.

We plan to aggregate the best iPhone 11 deals below. The main difference is the cameras.

Prior to the iPhone 11 announcement, rumour had it that the new iPhone would add two-way or "reverse" wireless charging support.

The updated $329 entry-level iPad, running Apple's upcoming iPadOS software, now incorporates a few more professional features once found only on the higher-end iPad Pro models.

By having two or three cameras - all on the back with another on the front - Apple highlights that you can take all kinds of pictures without having to physically move.

But a triple-camera feature is hardly ground breaking, because rivals Huawei and Samsung launched their triple-camera smart phones in 2018. Videos made with the iPhone 11 Pro cameras will shoot in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second.

"In a lot of ways, the Apple event didn't have many surprises", said eMarketer principal analyst Yoram Wurmser, adding that the new iPhones come with only "incremental advances" over previous models. In the third quarter, iPhone sales equaled less than half of Apple's revenues - down from 63% four year ago. This explains why Apple was so upbeat about it's new services like Arcade and Apple TV+ and even talked about it ahead of the iPhones.

Apple's lower price point is also trying to win out over HBO Max, set to launch next year.

Likely priced at about $US16-17 per month, HBO Max will offer a library of HBO hits such as Game of Thrones, Friends and The Sopranos, as well as original content.

What shows will Apple TV+ have? Series slated for Apple TV+ include a drama about a broadcast morning show starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

Oh, and it is giving away one free year's worth of Apple TV+ to anyone that buys a new expensive Apple product: a move that fanbois will love but raises questions about whether tech giants are trying to pull TV production into the same walled gardens it is used to in the tech arena.

As helpful as it may be in Android phones like the Galaxy S10, it seems like an especially helpful feature for iPhone users, considering how many people own iPhones and Apple Watches and Airpods, all of which support wireless charging.

Successors to the XS and XS Max, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max sport a 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch super Retina XDR display, which Apple claims is the brightest display ever in an iPhone. An Apple TV+ subscription can be shared with up to six family members.

Apple's new service costs considerably less than Netflix, which has a standard subscription of $8.99 per month.

The service will enter an already crowded marketplace of streaming video services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.
