According to Press TV, Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of Hamas' Political Bureau, made the remark during a speech at a gathering in the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday, accusing U.S. and Israeli media of encouraging Palestinians to emigrate from their homeland.

On Saturday an unmanned aerial vehicle from southern Gaza Strip dropped an explosive device onto an IDF vehicle in the area of the security fence, before it was remotely flown back to the Islamist Strip. The Israeli strikes late Saturday came after two days of cross-border exchanges of fire in which two Palestinian teenagers were killed.

Earlier on Tuesday, Palestinian security sources said that Palestinian gunmen shot down a small Israeli aircraft in southern Gaza Strip. The protests have calmed in recent months. The Israel Defence Forces said approximately 6,200 Palestinians participated in what the army called "especially violent" protests. Hours later, Palestinian militants fired five rockets at southern Israel, hitting open fields, and Israel attacked Hamas positions in response, according to the army.

( A senior leader of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement has warned that Hamas will thwart any plot designed by the Israeli regime to target Palestinian refugees' right of return to Palestine. In response, the IDF struck an attack on several Hamas targets, including a two military compounds in Gaza.

Israel has also launched three major wars against the enclave since 2008, killing thousands of Gazans each time and shattering the impoverished territory's already poor infrastructure.
