Sadio Mane has reiterated his commitment to Liverpool by revealing how much he is enjoying part of Jurgen Klopp's squad.

"Titles are not and never have been my motivation".

"I want to win every game and make my players better day by day. And then we'll see where that leads", he told dpa ahead of a sponsor's engagement for the Opel vehicle manufacturer in Frankfurt on Tuesday.

Between them, the trio have scored a combined 160 goals as a frontline, while Mane's haul of 22 in the Premier League last season saw him share the Golden Boot with Salah and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"We were very close a year ago", he said. You lose only one game in the whole season, and it's not enough, in the end, that was very bitter.

The Reds narrowly missed out on claiming top-flight glory last season to Manchester City - despite accumulating a staggering 97 points - but Mane believes they can use that disappointment, as well as their success in the Champions League, as motivation to go one better this term.

Liverpool have made an impressive start to the new campaign with three wins from three putting them top of the table.

"It is also clear that a lot is possible with my team", Klopp admitted. "And yes, the title in the Premier League would be an wonderful confirmation of many years of hard work".
