Himesh Reshammiya Opens Up On Lata Mangeshkar’s Views On Ranu Mondal

Music composer Himesh Reshammiya offered her a song "Teri Meri Kahani" from his movie "Happy Hardy and Heer" and not just that he even gave her another track for the same film which happens to be a recreation of "Aashiqui Mein Teri" from 36 China Town. "But I also feel that taking an inspiration from someone else is really important", said Himesh, during the launch of a new song on Wednesday. I was initially inspired by Lata Mangeshkar ji's voice and used to sing as a child.

"Today, Arijit Singh is a great singer and if someone starts to sing exactly like him, then it doesn't work as much".

Singer Ranu Mondal also attended the event. I used to listen to songs of Rafi, Mukesh, Kishore Kumar, Lata ji, Kumar Sanu and Sonu Nigam.

Speaking about singing in a film, Ranu Mondal said she is "grateful" that Himesh Reshammiya gave her the "big chance" and added: "I am grateful for the love of people". The song is titled "Teri meri kahaani", and is sung by Ranu. "But if you look at the global scene, it has become a common trait".

Reshammiya, who has recorded two songs with Mandol for his upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer, said Mangeshkar's comments must be taken in the right context.

Present at the event were also producers Deepshikha Deshmukh and Kumar Taurani, and Himesh's wife Sonia Kapoor. Ranu became an internet sensation overnight after her video of singing "Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai" at a railway station in West Bengal went viral. The 58-year-old singer was spotted after a video of her singing went viral online and musician Himesh Reshammiya made a decision to offer her a chance to prove her talent.

"She has been inspired by Lata ji but no one can become a legend like her". Yes, the magnitude of the stage given to me by Himesh ji, is something that may be I didn't anticipate.
